User management

User management overview

The LivionKey User Management system is designed to give organizations comprehensive user management capabilities. It offers features that make user management easier and more secure. This document describes these features and how they can be used to manage your organization's users.

Key Features

2-Factor Authentication

The 2-factor Authentication feature provides an extra layer of security to ensure that only authorized users can access sensitive information. When enabled, users must enter a one-time code and password sent to their phone when logging in.

Efficient Way to Add New Users

Getting new customers up and running is essential. Our user management system provides a simple onboarding process, including automated emails, password reset options, and other tools.

Role-Based Access Control

Roles define what users can do within the User Management system. Each predefined role has been assigned a set of permissions that determine the actions the user can take. This makes controlling access to sensitive information easy and ensures that users only have the necessary resources to do their job.

Organization Unit Access

In addition to role-based access control, the User Management system allows administrators to grant access to specific organization units. This allows them to control resource access at a more granular level and ensure that users only have access to the resources they need.

When granting access to an organization unit, users can only access resources within that unit and any units below it in the organizational hierarchy.

Access Expiration

Access rights can be set to expire after a specified period. This ensures that users can only access the resources they need for a defined period, after which their access rights are automatically revoked. This helps to enhance security and ensure that only authorized users have access to sensitive information.

Security Notifications

The User Management system provides notifications when a user changes their password. This helps to detect and prevent unauthorized changes to user accounts.

Google and Email Password Login

The User Management system provides support for both Google and email password login, making it easy for users to access the system using the login method that is most convenient for them. This enhances the user experience and makes it easier for users to get started with the system.
